The Samsung Galaxy SIII. It’s beautiful, stunning, amazing, in every aspect possible, and it’s really hard not to look at this thing a 2nd time. The device contains a lot of the features speculated over the past few months, and a range of ones we didn’t. But let’s round up the Samsung Galaxy S III. Corner to corner.
Firstly, the hardware, the phone snaps up at just 8.6mm, making it one of the thinnest smartphones ever. The phone brings an 8MP camera, a 4.8″ AMOLED display, plus a HD front facing camera, which impacts much of the new technology we’ll get round to in a minute. But what we are all excited for, is the 1.4GHz Exynos processor, that will make this phone next to ‘rapid’.
Software is also amazing and fits the phone perfectly, packing Android’s latest OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone uses some of the worlds, ‘state-of-the-art’ technology, including face recognition features. For example, you only have to look at the phone to unlock it, and the phone also falls asleep when you do. The phone will also NEVER fall asleep when you are looking at it. Which If I’m honest, did annoy me, not just on phones, but also iPods and also tablets. Samsung will hopefully keep innovating us with features like this, and it seems like Apple has some catching up to do.
While the phone seems ‘out of this world’, it seems like the phone still has major competition, with the HTC One X proving to be one of HTC’s most successful device, selling millions and also proving itself worthy of it’s quad-core processor it’s packing. Samsung is trying to erect this possibility by placing ‘Samsung Pins’ across London, which will allow users to try out the Galaxy S III for themselves before buying it. This should help flood in customers from every corner of the globe. And these will places throughout the capital.
With the phone coming at us on May 30th, available in two colours. Marble White and Pebble Blue. This phone will possibly ‘blowout’ the competition, and will be available on many networks, including Vodafone and 02. But no word on pricing just yet.
