Max Payne Android App Delayed

The Max Payne mobile app came out early April for iOS users, but seems that Rockstar has delayed the app and we have no clue on when we can expect to see the app.

Rockstar confirmed the app still needs further testing, but Google Play will still receive the app in the next few days or so.

Apple Announces WWDC, Starts June 11th

Apple have officially announced that WWDC will be held in San Francisco, and will start the week commencing June 11th.

“We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers,” said Philip Schiller.”

WWDC can hope to bring the latest in the Mac OS line, and maybe even some new products launched to market, but one can hazard a guess on what we will see.

People are also saying Apple could announce there new iPhone this event, but usually Apple hold on for a year of the last iPhone, and WWDC usually consists of software and Mac products.

Google Drive

Yeah. It’s finally here. Google Drive available for Mac,iOS, Windows & Android of course. Gives 5GB free storage + several paid options up to 16TB.

  • + Google eco-system (sync with Google+, Docs, Gmail, etc.)
  • + Mobile and desktop apps for most platforms (Ubuntu, Windows Phone, Symbian, Bada missing…)
  • + 5GB of free storage
  • - ‘Eats’ lot of memory on my PC (about 100MB while Dropbox eats just 10MB)
  • - Not as good app for Android (ugly) and Windows (double-click doesn’t do anything) as Dropbox has (double-click opens folder)
  • - Really slow upload speed  to Google Drive from Windows dedicated app (much better but not as good as Dropbox while uploading via website)

App Review: Zite

Hey folks! Today I want to write something about new magazine app in Google Play Store!

Sorry for the layout of this article, but something crashed in Admin Panel.

Zite has already +10 000 downloads on Android 2.1+ devices. It’s not such a big thing but the application itself is very interesting. It’s also available in App Store for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch running iOS 4 and above.

But what is Zite? It’s ”a free personalized magazine for your phone that automatically learns what you like and gets smarter every time you use it. Zite delivers all the great news, articles, blogs, and videos you want – and helps you discover new stuff that you’ll love.” Now you do not have to read:
  • News Feed on Facebook
  • Tweets on your Twitter account
  • Google+ Stream
  • Google Reader
  • All blogs which you were reading till today
Why you don’t have to? Because everything is in Zite! Cool, isn’t it?
Have a look on some screenshots from my LG GT540 (Android 2.3.7):

To navigate from pane to pane, you can slide finger left & right. Very simple and intuitive.
When you’re ready, Zite will prepare some news for each section that you’ve chosen. When you click selected article it will open itself in very pretty view as you can see below (but sometimes I’ve noticed that article wanted to load in my browser, not in app):
Zite learns itself what you want to read. How? As you can see above, in the right corner there are two buttons. Like and Dislike. If you Like an article, Zite will prepare very similar news to that one. When you Dislike something, Zite will choose other news sites or even other topics of articles for you. Very useful in my opinion.
+ Cool design
+ Available on iOS & Android
+ Share article on Twitter/Facebook/Google+/E-mail/Bluetooth, etc.
+ Article view
- Sometimes articles are opening in web browser
So that’s all. I hope that after reading that few sentences you’re interested in Zite, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as same as I do :-)
If you’ve tested Zite, leave a comment below with your opinion! Thanks!

BlackBerry Playbook with 4G Connectivity?

Blackberry’s Playbook has been a hit or miss, launching a while back at a really stupid price, even more in places than the iPad. But around Christmas, the Playbook got a huge price cut, making the 16GB model only £169, and this offer is still available at the likes of Currys!

But however, recently, a picture showing that the Playbook is running 4G, has been released onto the internet, looking quite realistic, and showing the same build quality as the Blackberry Playbook!

However, pictures containing the 4G chip and BBM on the tablet has also been released.

Does this all look legit to you?

Rovio Confirms It Has ‘No Plans’ for Angry Birds Space on Windows Phone. Not the Case, According to Rovio CEO

With Angry Birds Space making it’s way across the likes of iOS and Android. Windows Phone 7 uses appear to be left out.

Rovio confirmed that WP7 will not be receiving the inevitable new Angry Birds title, as it will cost too much, and the OS isn’t big enough.

But Rovio CEO Mikael Hed quickly changed the statement that Microsoft and Rovio are working on bringing Angry Birds Space to the Windows Phone 7 market!

You excited by this news? Or do you believe still that Rovio will undertake a ‘silly’ move to bring this game to the Windows Phone 7 marketplace? Comment below!

Technology Can Help You Sleep

We all have those nights when we just can’t go to sleep or we’re not tired, but we need to sleep. I had that same problem one night and I downloaded White Noise Lite (Video review below).  I had tried it before, but had forgotten about it. I went through all sounds that came with the application and finally settled on the Crickets sound. I set the timer for 15 minutes before it turned off the sound. I didn’t think it was going to work, but I was asleep within 10 minutes of starting the app. This is just proof that technology is starting to aid people in everyday things like sleeping.

White Noise has an iPhone and Android application. There is a free version and a paid version. I cover both Android and iPhone versions in the video below. Both versions are about the same. Same sounds, ability to add timers, and favorite sounds. The iPhone application has two other features that I couldn’t find on the Android application (see the video for a demo of the different features). The sounds in both apps are, Crickets, Fan, White Noise, Extreme Rain, Thunder, Train, Airplane, Beach, Clock, and Chimes (Samples of each noise is in the video).

The iPhone application has the ability to make mixes, which is basically combining several sounds together to make one sound. The other feature that I couldn’t find on the Android version was an alarm clock view when you leave the app running. This feature could be more or less useful, but if you have an iPhone dock on your bedside table or a stand for your iPhone or iPad, then you could also effectively use it as an alarm clock.

So next time you can’t sleep, try White Noise, it’s free. Thanks for reading and watching!
