Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Rumoured for November 13th?

The innovative Call of Duty franchise may soon be greeted with a follow up to one of 2010′s biggest shooters, Black Ops, and we could be seeing Black Ops 2 as soon as November 13th, according to a report from US group Target.

However with Halo 4 coming out only on the 4th of the same month, both games could face some rival competition with each other, and maybe need a re-think of the release dates to avoid clashing.

What do you think of Black Ops 2 coming out this winter? Check the image below of what seems to be a Target reservation card for the game for both Xbox(left) and PS3(right)

Nokia Lumia 710 Review

As you may know, I have just recently moved to the Windows Phone 7 0S, from Microsoft, and I love it. Especially the customisation features you can do on it, Xbox Live integration, and also the live tiles are amazing, and so cool to have. But what about my phone itself? You can’t have an amazing OS, while if your handset if next to crap, it can ruin the experience.

So, let’s get down to business, here is the Nokia Lumia 710 review.

The first thing that comes to mind after picking one of these up. Is the feel of it, It’s amazing. The size is just perfect, at 3.7″ screen. It’s not a like a small 3″ screen, nor a massive 4.65″ HTC Titan. And apps and games look amazing on the screen, despite it being a low pixel screen.

The 710 has the ability to change the back covers on the phone. And has a lot of different backs to choose from. Most handsets come with the black back, along with another one free, mine came with the blue colour. But you can buy others separately. But these can be pretty hard to find, and are usually quite expensive, which is a real shame. But otherwise, this is a really neat idea from Nokia.

As you all know, I love the Windows Phone OS from Microsoft. And that’s the main reason I picked up this phone, If It had android, I would have just avoided it. And the phone and the OS work really well together.

Now, onto specs. Despite the 710 being considerably cheaper than the likes of the Lumia 800. The 710 has a 5MP camera, with auto-focus, and also a single LED flash, while the 800 has a slightly better 8MP Carl-Zeiss lens, aswell as auto-focus. Now I’m going to say right of the bat, I’m in love with the camera on this phone, despite being only a pretty average 5MP. The features are immense. Being able to shift the light to one area of the picture, it’s just really good, and It would look even better on the Lumia 800s 8MP Carl-Zeiss lens.

Pricing is where the phones at, being around £150-£200 PAYG is a bargain, but some of you are properly waiting for the much hyped Nokia Lumia 610. My advise is DON’T. When Microsoft say this is a slimmed down of WP7. It really is. Some apps don’t work, some key feautures, and also being really sluggish, makes it sensible to put some extra cash to get a decent WP7 handset, and get all the elements of WP7 you brought the phone for.

So, closing thought. Amazing phone for the price, if you always wanted a Windows Phone 7 handset, without wanting to fork out for a device like the Lumia 800, or the HTC Titan. This certainly won’t disappoint you, considering the features on board, and also mentioning the phone’s 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor. It’s just an all round spectacular phone.

Apple’s iPhone Business is Bigger than ALL of Microsoft Combined

We all know that Apple and Microsoft have been fierce rivals for many years now, but recently, Apple has become the largest technology company in the world, and now has become apparent that Apple’s iPhone market is now bigger than Microsoft combined.

Also, even if you eliminated the iPhone from the equation, Apple would still be larger than Microsoft combined, taking in account all the iPods, iPads and Macs.

What’s even more amazing, is how Microsoft faced near-bankruptcy nearly 15 years ago, and it’s only taken them that long to pick themselves off the ground, and become the company that they are today.

Cloud Gaming Company Predicts Sony Or Microsoft Will Not Have A Next-Gen Console

Yesterday Sony shot down persistent rumors that the PlayStation 4 will be debuting at E3 later this year. Now a representative of cloud gaming company Gaikai is saying that the truth about the next generation of gaming consoles could be even more shocking.

Industry Gamers reports that Gaikai chief product officer Nanea Reeves commented on the future of gaming consoles during CES: “Not all of the current console makers will have one more generation. That will be the big news at E3.”

Reeves provided no further clarification on these statements as far as Industry Gamers notes.

While this statement might seem surprising, it’s worth keeping in mind that as a company focused on cloud gaming — allowing consumers to play graphically high-end games on low-power computers by streaming them across the Internet — Gaikai has a very strong interest in making people believe that the very near future of gaming lies somewhere other than a more powerful set of consoles that are still largely disc-based. As such, I’m going to take this prediction with a suitable grain of salt.

Gaikai has been working on cloud gaming technology since 2008 and is most known for the involvement of Shiny founder David Perry. If either Microsoft or Sony truly bow out of the console race, it will be the first time a major manufacturer has disappeared from gaming hardware since Sega discontinued the Dreamcast in 2001.

The New Modern Warfare 3 Map Pack is Coming!

Call of Duty fans have been familiar with receiving brand new maps within the first few months of the new year, and it’s the same for MW3! On the 24th January, a new map pack, announced by Robert Bowling on his twitter, will probably have 4 new maps for MW3 for the Premium Elite users.

The only released map so far has been ‘Park’, an open map which looks great for snipers and air support! It looks similar to stadium from Black Ops which was personally one of my favourite maps in the game! Hopefully more maps will be released with in the new year.

Guys without Elite are expected to have it around a month later, but it’s well worth the £40 fee if you intend to buy all the map packs! Updates for the maps in the pack are coming soon, so stay looking for them!
